Q: Why should I buy from Dishpronto

Q: What are the programming charges
for a second receiver?
There is no "programming" fee for your 2nd, 3rd, 4th. Whatever programming
you subscribe to on your first receiver will automatically be on your
extra receivers. There is, however, a second receiver Access Fee of
$5 per month for each extra Receiver you may have. This fee covers the
cost of broadcasting, billing and satellite transmission fees.
Q: What number do I call for technical
problems?
Call DISH Network at 1-800-333-3474 and we will send a technician to
your doorstep.
Q: Can I substitute one channel for
another in my basic package?
We strive to make satellite tv programming as affordable as possible.
One way to help keep costs lower is to provide stations in packages,
rather than mostly a la carte. Allowing customers to substitute channels
would have the adverse effect of forcing us to raise Prices, both for
overall programming, and for a la carte stations. To prevent this, no
substitutions are allowed. However we provide the Encore packages for
$.4.98 and the Outdoor channels for $1.99.
Q: I have DIRECTV now, but I want
the DISH. How can I change?
All you need to do is contact Dishpronto at 1-800-315-0788 and our friendly
staff would be glad to assist you.
Q: How long is the estimated installation
time?
After placing your order for the Dishpronto, we give you a list of dates
any time within 24hrs and the best part is Dish Network installation
is done on all 7 days. The installer will bring along the satellite
dish and receiver(s) at the time of installation. There is no equipment
to ship. Installations dates are available 7 days a week. We will also
work with you to ensure that your Dish Network is installed as soon
as possible.
Q: Does DISH Network offer an HDTV
compatible receiver?
Yes, we offer the new HD- 811 and HD-DVR 942 models which are available.
Q: UPN and WB -- Do you carry UPN
and WB Networks?
Yes, we currently offer WB and UPN in the Super stations and this would
cost you $5.99 a month.
Q: I have a lot of tall trees in
the way between my dish antenna and the satellite. What can I do?
Trees can cause interference with the satellite signal. If you cannot
find a different location that provides a clear line of sight with the
satellite, you may have to trim your trees. In order to help determine
if you have a clear line-of-sight to the DISH Network satellites, you
can give us a call and we will send an installer to your house.
Q: What is Dishpronto Satellite's
refund policy?
Dishpronto Satellite systems gives you the one time activation fee refunded
on all unused installation certificates. At Dishpronto we understand
that if there is no Line of Sight we would give you the entire $49.99
refunded in 5-6 business days. So be assured that you are definitely
not losing your money!
Q: Does DISH Network offer high
speed internet service?
Not at this time. But Dish Network is working on it!!!
Q: I own a commercial establishment
and want to start showing DISH Network. How can I do that?
Dish pronto appreciates that you are looking into DISH Network satellite
for your business. Unfortunately, we cannot offer these systems for
commercial use however, To activate a commercial account or receive

Q: Adult programming
Dish Network satellite system currently offers an extensive lineup of
adult programming. Please click on "Adult Programming" in the Programming
link for more detailed information.
Q: What should I do if I am going
to move?
DISH Network has a program just for you called DISHMover. DISH Network
will send you a new dish and provide a professional installation at
your new home for a discounted price. This permits you to leave your
current dish connected at your old location. Right now we are offering
the Dish Home Protection Plan absolutely FREE which includes a Free
Movers Plan.
Q: What is the DISH Warranty and
how good is your warranty?
Dish Protection Plan DISH network knows better than anyone how important
you TV is to you, and providing service you can count on is our top
priority. DISH Network provides a one year warranty for all equipment.
This warranty offers tremendous peace of mind for DISH customers. Currently
we also offer you the Dish Home Protection Plan for 12 months which
is absolutely free. This covers priority technical support, replacement
equipment, in home service, video cabling and power surge repairs and
last but not least a free movers program.
Q: How much is a second receiver
or replacement receiver?
The most common standalone receiver is the DISH 311, which costs $99.
Our first time DISH Network subscribers can also save money by purchasing
one of our Multi-TV Combo Packages.
Q: Is satellite more costly than
cable?
Satellite television offers different tiers of programming that are
priced the same anywhere in the country. Cable Prices differ widely
from market to market. If you compare the number of channels available
on satellite television (even in the basic tiers) to the number of channels
offered by cable (even digital cable), satellite is clearly the better
buy. Cable will argue that you have to purchase equipment with satellite;
however, DISH Network satellite offers deals that provide low-cost and
even free equipment and installation for upto 4 rooms. Furthermore,
with cable, even digital cable, you pay a monthly rental fee for the
set-top box that receives your signal. Over a short period of time,
the purchase of a satellite system pays for itself.
Q: Are there any requirements that
need to be met in order to have dish satellite?
The primary requirement to have Dish Network satellite is while installation
you have to have a direct line-of-sight to the southern sky. Provided
there is a clear view of the southern sky, a satellite dish can be affixed
almost anywhere - home, balcony, on a pole, in the yard etc…..
Q: Is a separate dish needed for
every television in the residence? Do you need a separate dish for satellite
television?
No, a separate dish is not required in each and every room. However,
with Dish Network satellite you can get up to 4 rooms absolutely FREE.
If you want to watch separate programming simultaneously, Dish Network
offers dual-receivers wherein you can watch 2 different programming
on 2 different televisions. Dish Network satellite also offers professional
installation absolutely free for you.
Q: Can I pay by check when I sign-up?
To get started with Dish Network satellite you must use a major credit
card or a debit card (VISA, Master card, American Express or a Discover)
by paying an upfront payment of $49.99.This $49.99 is credited in the
first bill. After this one-time payment you can pay your monthly bills
by cash, cheque or money order.
Q: Do I need anything special to
receive HDTV?
You will need at least one HD receiver such as the Dish 811 and a high
definition television set.
Q: I rent an apartment; can I still
install a DISH Network system?
In many cases yes. You will need a signed approval from your landlord
when the DISH Network installer arrives.
Q: Do I need anything special to
use a DVR receiver?
No, a standard television will work for playback of DVR recordings.
Q: What if I move before my 18 months
commitment is up?
Your system will be reinstalled for FREE by Dish Network at your new
residence as long as you commit to a minimum programming purchase agreement
with either America's Top 60 or any higher or DISH Latino programming
for a minimum of 18 months or purchase the DISH Home Protection Plan
for just $5.99 per month.
Q: Does a satellite-delivered picture
ever fade or disappear?
If the satellite dish's line-of-sight becomes obstructed by inclement
weather or an object, the picture may disappear momentarily. But with
Dish Network satellite you get a special dish called as Dish 500 with
which you do not loose out signals.
Q: What is your shipping policy?
All systems (including satellite dish, receivers, etc.) are delivered
by the installation technician on the day of installation. This cost
is not charged to the customer. Any shipping and handling of equipment
back to DISH Network post- installation is the sole responsibility of
the customer.
Q: What is your tax policy?
Sales and excise taxes may apply to DISH Network satellite TV services
depending on the local sales tax of installed address. Such taxes, where
applicable, will be billed and collected on the DISH Network monthly
billing statement.
Q: What is your payment policy?
Initial payment is required through a major credit or a debit card for
processing, installation and activation. On-going service fees are billed
to the customer's billing address. You can also pay the monthly bills
by a Credit Card using Auto pay.

Q: International Programming
Many International Programming packages are available. To get the broadcast
of international programs, you may require a second Dish installed in
addition to your main system because the International Programming is
delivered from a different satellite in the sky. The cost to have this
second dish installed on your home is $99 in addition to the $49.99
activation fee. International Programming carries an extra monthly charge
in addition to your monthly programming for American channels. You are
required to subscribe to at least the America's Top 60 channel package
in English before you are eligible to add additional International Programming.
